How to connect your mailbox on iPhone, Android, and Outlook (Windows)
Once you receive your SMS with your new Microsoft 365 credentials, follow the instructions below for your device.
Before you start (important)
Have ready:

Your new email address

Your temporary password
-
Your phone with Microsoft Authenticator installed on it
⚠️ Recommendation:
Once your new mailbox is working, remove the old mailbox account from your phone/computer to avoid sync errors.
Apple (iPhone / iPad) — Mail App Setup

Open Settings
-
Tap Mail
-
(Depending on iOS version: Settings → Apps → Mail)

Tap Accounts
-
Tap Add Account
-
Select Microsoft Exchange
-
Enter:
-
Email: your full Muzz Buzz email address
-
Description: e.g. Muzz Buzz Work
-
-
Tap Next
-
When prompted, tap Sign In
-
Enter your password
-
Complete verification with Microsoft Authenticator
-
Accept any permission requests
-
Choose what to sync:
✅ Mail
✅ Contacts
✅ Calendars
✅ Reminders (if shown) -
Tap Save
✅ Done — your mailbox should start syncing within a few minutes.
Android — Recommended Method (Outlook App)
This is the best and most reliable option for Microsoft 365.
Option A: Microsoft Outlook App (Recommended)

Open Google Play Store

Search for Microsoft Outlook

Install the app
-
Open Outlook and tap Get Started

Enter your Microsoft 365 email address

Tap Continue / Sign In
-
Enter your password
-
Approve sign-in in Microsoft Authenticator
-
Accept permissions if requested
✅ Done — Outlook will automatically configure all settings.
Option B: Android Gmail App (Alternative option)
If you prefer using the built-in Gmail app:

Open the Gmail app
-
Tap your profile icon (top-right)
-
Tap Add another account
-
Select Exchange and Office 365
-
Enter:
-
Email address
-
Password
-
-
Tap Next
-
Complete MFA approval with Microsoft Authenticator and permissions
If the app requests server details:
-
Server:
outlook.office365.com
✅ Done.
Windows — Setup in Outlook (Microsoft 365 / Office)
This is the main setup method for laptops and desktops.
Step 1 — Remove old Outlook connection (if needed)
If Outlook already shows errors or prompts:

Close Outlook completely first.
(If IT has already reconfigured your workstation, you may skip to Step 2.)
Step 2 — Add your Microsoft 365 mailbox in Outlook

Open Outlook
-
If prompted to sign in:
-
Enter your full email address
-
Click Connect
-

Enter your temporary password
-
Approve the sign-in request (Microsoft Authenticator), if prompted
-
Wait for Outlook to finish configuring the account
✅ Outlook will automatically configure server settings.
Step 3 — If Outlook does not open or keeps prompting (manual profile reset)

Close Outlook
-
Go to Control Panel
-
Search: Mail
-
Open Mail (Microsoft Outlook)

Click Show Profiles
-
Click Add
-
Name the profile:
M365 -
Add your email + password

Select: ✅ Always use this profile
-
Choose
M365 -
Open Outlook again
✅ This resolves most migration-related sign-in issues.
Microsoft Authenticator (Security App)
During setup you may be prompted to approve a sign-in using Microsoft Authenticator.
This is normal and improves security across the network.
If you don’t have it yet Install Microsoft Authenticator from:
- iPhone (App Store): Microsoft Authenticator
- Android (Google Play Store): Microsoft Authenticator
Common Questions / Quick Fixes
“My mailbox won’t connect”
✅ Make sure you're using the new password from the SMS, not the old one.
“It keeps asking for password”
✅ Remove the old mailbox first and reconnect with the new details.
“I still see my old mailbox”
✅ Delete the old account and add the new one again.
“How long until all email appears?”
✅ Some mailboxes can take time to fully sync. Leave Outlook open and connected.
